RMA Construction Services has worked closely with the Charter School community to develop an approach to the construction of schools that is sensitive to the particular needs of this community. We have a dedicated team of professionals who are experienced and skilled in the management and delivery of these projects.
As with any project that involves the use of public funds, it is important to have in place qualified professional staff and management systems to ensure that the money is being spent where it needs to be. Our quality control effort includes the development of a Project Management Plan for the project. This helps us to efficiently manage the project by spelling out the expectations and responsibilities of all parties. This greatly facilitates our effort to deliver the project as planned, on time and within the established budget.
* The Project Management Plan for school construction, repair and modernization. The necessary plan includes lists of specific projects, milestones, budget, time schedules, management controls, information systems, cost controls, early warning systems, and the assignment of responsibility and accountability.
* Monthly progress reports to identify progress made, significant schedule and budget variances, plan revisions and current estimates for cost and completion.
* Weekly Project meetingswith contractors, owner’s representatives and the design professionals.
* Early warning memos when a construction, repair or modernization project is likely to exceed the budgeted cost by five percent or more.
Our staff and resources can be brought in to assist you at any point in the project but we would highly recommend that we start at the beginning or the Pre-Construction Phase where we can be of most help in assisting the client as they develop their needs assessment. We can then translate that assessment into classrooms and related educational space which will facilitate the development of preliminary budgets and schedules. We also can assist you in the development of design specifications for construction and installed equipment as well as the selection of your design consultants.
The quality of the effort put forth in the early phase of a project directly impacts the quality of the construction in the later phases.
RMA is a full service Construction Management firm which means we provide comprehensive project management services. Our resources enable us to provide our clients with a variety of services from constructability reviews, estimating and scheduling to contract development and document control.
RMA has developed a comprehensive approach to the inspection and assessment
of a variety of facilities. We can provide you with reliable reports on the
current state of your facilities along with information showing necessary
repairs needed with in the next 5 and 10 years. We also provide estimates of
those repairs and can identify important critical or environmentally
sensitive areas that may need to be addressed sooner. |
